About Us

We are home to a 730 meter range, pistol ranges, modern trap and indoor shooting facilities. The club has been supporting the local environment and fostering the next generation of outdoors-people since 1954.

Spring 2026 at the Quesnel Rod and Gun Club

Hello Members. It is starting to look like Spring is just about arrived! Thanks to some fantastic effort by Members /Volunteers, the Ranges are in nice shape for this time of year. Most of the snow is gone from Range active areas and very little standing water. All approved Ranges are usable, including the “730 meter Precision Range”.

  • First, a reminder that our 2026 Annual General Meeting is Thursday, April 30th 2026, at 630PM in the QRGC Clubhouse! If there is anyone you wish to nominate, please get their signed request in so we can get them an eligibility package in advance of the AGM. Come on out and get involved!

Here are some events to note:

  1. QRGC Spring Swap-meet. Saturday, April 25th at the Bouchie Lake Hall. Contact Paul for more info.
  2. QRGC Annual General Meeting- Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 630PM in the Clubhouse.
  3. Work Bee- Saturday May 9th. Please come out and help! We have a full plate of Spring Clean-up and repairs. Fencing, brushing, welding, carpentry, concrete work, sign installation, lighting, etc. Skid-steers, loaders and Mini-excavators, etc. are always a big help! Pancake Breakfast and Pot-Luck lunch /hotdogs /bring your own etc. Call Andy for more info: 250-983-5454. All Ranges will be closed for the day!
  4. National Range Day- Saturday June 6th. Starting at 9 AM. We are looking for Volunteers to step up, if you can. Most disciplines such as IPSC, Trap, Two Gun and Cowboy Action will be represented and set up on the various Ranges. Electronic Targets will be set up on the 730 meter Range. This will be an “Open House” event, so bring friends. Pancake Breakfast and Hotdogs for Lunch.
  5. Trap practice weekly on Sundays. Please note a start time of 1300 hrs. /1PM. Automated Trap is available seven days a week. Contact Paul – 250-639-6570 or Andy – 250-983-5454 for more info or to get a trap card/ credits. The ¾ cock, manual machine is also available for those who wish to bring their own clays.
  6. IPSC drills /practice weekly on Monday evenings at 6 PM. Stages set up monthly and Level II Matches scheduled for August 15th and 16th , 2026.
  7. 22 LR  PRS – Dates to be determined. Please check Calendar.
  8. Cowboy Action starts Tuesday May 5th at 630 PM and runs every second Tuesday thereafter as well as on the 4th Sundays of the Month at 10 AM for the Season. Please check Calendar for updates.
  9. Run Amok 26 – July 24, 25 and 26
  10. Steel Challenge – Dates to be determined. Please check Calendar.
  11. 2-Gun Fun Practice /Fun Shoots First Saturday of each Month. Check with Jared for more details. quesnelmultigun@gmail.com
  12. Pro-Hunter Challenge is being planned for July 4th and 5th. We had our third one last December. Awesome good time! Hunting rifles and gear, shooting from logs, fences, etc. at silhouette targets out to 730 meters- spot/ range/ and make your hits while the clock is running!
  13. Precision Rifle practice-shoots utilizing our E-targets will be held regularly through the season, as Volunteer’s time for running them permit. Please watch Calendar for updates.
  14. QRGC “King of the Hill” Shoot is in planning, date yet to be determined. This event utilizes our Silver Mountain E-Targets and has classes for Hunter /Sporter and Heavy Rifle. There is also a Ladies only class, so come on out girls! We usually have some great prize donations and it is always a fun weekend!
  15. Sporting Clays- Planning to host our first Sporting Clays event on our new Range this year! If you are interested in helping out, please contact Paul.
  16. Skeet Field construction- Pilings and conduits have been installed. Skeet house construction and pouring slabs for the shooting stations to be completed this year, in preparation for CFO inspection/ approval.
  17. Ladies Day- Planning in progress for a summer event for Girls only! Let us know if you are interested! Check Calendar for updates.

If a discipline is important to you or you want to try to start something new, please step up! We are looking for Members to support the following Committees:

  • 22 LR Rim-fire /Junior (Not currently active, looking for volunteers)
  • 22 LR PRS /Bench-rest /Know Your Limit
  • IPSC (Great group, New people are welcome)
  • Cowboy Action (Great bunch, fresh faces are welcome!)
  • General Handgun /Steel Challenge
  • Trap /Shotgun Sports (Fun bunch, always happy to have new people)
  • Multi-gun /2-Gun
  • Buildings and Grounds (More hands are needed!)
  • Rifle Ranges

Just to refresh, Key cards will quit working when your membership expires- 12 months from Date of Purchase, until you renew. You will not trade in your Key card. These are “lifetime” Keys. Second Keys for Family Memberships are available at an additional Key charge. If your Key card is lost or stolen, please let us know so we can cancel it and process a replacement for you. Please retain your Membership Form /Receipt! This is your Proof of Membership you will need for ATT RPAL applications, Store discounts, etc. Contact us at communications@quesnelrodandgun.ca if you have questions.
